WP7-301 Roofing Waterproof is the perfect solution for applying a waterproof layer to the outside of a basement wall. This is always the best solution – if possible.
Dig a trench to expose the basement wall, down to the foundations or as deep as possible. Brush or spray away the remaining soil. Then apply a thick layer (1 mm) of WP7-301 Roofing Waterproof.
Carefully backfill the soil. The layer will then be completely waterproof immediately.
If the façade gets wet after a shower or rain, this is a sign that the façade material is (too) porous. The façade then absorbs a lot of water. With solid walls, this can lead to breakdown, with the interior walls also becoming damp. In addition, it has a very adverse effect on the insulation value of your façade. Wet walls are also susceptible to frost damage, which can cause joints to loosen or damage the surface of the brick.
The solution? Impregnate your façade with WP7-401 Façade Waterproof. This easy-to-apply façade cream is very effective against penetrating water, but allows your façade to still breathe so that the water present can evaporate and your façade dries out.
